What is This Blog About?
I launched this blog for outdoors enthusiasts who love whitetail and turkey hunting, and also enjoy getting out on their local lakes and streams to fish. If you like learning how to improve your skills in settings that the majority of us hunt and fish in, you will feel right at home here. Please feel free to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus or Pinterest.
What Will You Get Out of It?
In my posts you will get tips on deer and turkey hunting, tips on fishing both lakes and streams for a wide range of fish, DIY and hopefully, some enjoyable stories.
Why Did I Start It?
I have been hunting turkeys and whitetail deer for roughly 25 years, and fishing for longer. Like most, I do this outside of work and am a “weekend warrior”. This is my true passion and I have kept a lot of logs over the years, why not share them? Bow hunting Wisconsin whitetails is my favorite thing to do, but I also make time for turkey hunting and spend a lot of time on the water chasing a wide range of Midwest fish species. For hunting, the largest piece of private land I have access to bow hunt on is under 55 acres, I also have a few other areas that are much smaller or public property. Fishing, I spend most of my time on heavily fished lakes but also get away to small trout streams in southwest WI. I am in the Pope & Young record book several times and have caught a handful of trophy fish. But to me it’s about the experiences, stories and what you learn from time afield, not the trophies that result from this.
